Somebody stop her.
My boyfriend and I were at bed bath and beyond and he asked if we should get a Roomba. I said no need, we’re having a baby. -VF
A little (BIG) project I’ve been working on for the past few weeks is about complete! I bought 6 antique mahogany chairs off craigslist and re-stained and reupholstered them. The 2 top pics are before shots… It took weeks to strip the nastiness from these chairs (including horse hair as cushioning!!) leaving just the frames and about as long for me to settle on fabric. I decided to jazz them up even more with the nailhead trim. It was no easy or quick task but it paid off! I still have the two arm chairs to upholster but I am using them in my dining room and they are getting different fabric. But the worst part is over.. phew! I probably spent around $400 total for the chairs and materials but I’d say buying all 6 new would be around $1000 or more. I guess all that labor was worth the savings ;) Do you likey?!!
In case you’ve lost count or track of all of our dogs. In the front row we have Jill, Little Egg Harbor, and Oliver. And then we have the legend, Jack, in the back row. They all have such drastically different personalities. Jill is like a cat that lays around all day, loves pillows, hates walks, loves to “tark” (talk-bark) to people, and is obsessed with pink toys. Little Egg is a momma’s girl that wishes she had mom all to herself and is kind of a perfect dog. Oliver likes to take himself on walks (aka runs away everyday), can’t say his “R’s”, and is a fatass. Jack is a grumpy old bastard, loves to cuddle in bed, hates (straight) guys, relentlessly barks at blow dryers, and yet is the smallest cutest creature alive. -VF
The awesome cakes that were made for my baby showers. We did a “stock the book” party for one, hence the book cake. They were also the best tasting cakes I’ve ever eaten which was really dangerous for a pregnant girl. -VF
